How I Support You
My work is travel-led and collaboration-focused. I manage the travel, logistics, and guest experience of your destination wedding, while working closely with trusted local or resort wedding planners to ensure every element comes together smoothly.

Planning Fee
A non-refundable Wedding Planning Fee of $550 NZD applies prior to the preparation of detailed proposals and supplier coordination.

The Ultimate Wedding Planning Package for couples who want to leave their dream Wedding and Honeymoon to the experts.
TYPICAL GUEST NUMBERS
This package is ideal for weddings from 10 to 250 guests and everything in between.

Initial complimentary Zoom meeting to establish the nature and extent of the assistance required including discussion of Wedding Travel fees charged.
Ongoing consultation, advice & support with your Destination Travel Specialist
Group accommodation and Group Airfare rates negotiated, and contracts reviewed for the couple and their guests.
Destination, Resort/Venue and wedding ceremony recommendations – reviewing all contracts and management of pricing negotiation, confirmations and deposits
Supplier recommendations of reputable suppliers to fit your budget – reviewing of contracts and management of pricing negotiation, confirmation and deposits (for example; photography, videographer, hair & makeup, transport, DJ/entertainment, florist)
Honeymoon recommendations, confirmations, and transfer arrangements
Assistance with required documentation in consultation with Independent/Resort Wedding Planner
Collaboration of wedding with Independent/Resort Wedding Planner throughout planning
Attendance for 8 hours at your wedding to ensure everything runs smoothly and that your wedding day is exactly as you imagined. This includes airfares & accommodation for your Destination Wedding and Romance Travel Specialist. This includes a pre and post-wedding meeting.
Suitable for Resort/Island Buyouts (additional costs may apply).

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHALL WE BOOK?
Couples typically book 9-18 months in advance however, we can book up to 2 years in advance (rates may be subject to confirmation). We do try to accommodate shorter timeframes where possible. As we are a small team, we take on a limited number of weddings per season to ensure a fully personalised service.
DO YOU PLAN DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Yes - destination wedding travel is my speciality. Desire to Travel is responsible for the travel and logistics of your destination wedding, and we liaise with an Independent Wedding Planner or a Resort Planner to coordinate the wedding itself. As a licensed travel agent, we also coordinate guest travel, accommodation and honeymoon planning.
DO YOU CHARGE TRAVEL FEES FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Yes, for destination weddings, a travel fee is applied to cover flights, accommodation, transport and any other necessary on-ground logistics.
As a licensed IATA travel agent, we aim to keep these costs streamlined and fully transparent, and travel fees are discussed upfront. The bonus? You don’t have to coordinate multiple travel elements for your guests.
DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH PREFERRED VENDORS?
Over the years, we have curated a list of preferred vendors, so we work with many vendors. However, if you have a vendor in mind, we are happy to review, liaise and integrate them into the planning process (subject to quality check and availability). Please note that some resorts have preferred vendors, but you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
